Message - the water is the primary heat absorbing water.
- the alcohol prevents the water from freezing primarily, and absorbs heat better (but not as efficiently) as water.
- the glycol is the 1% soap. It lubricates the water pump and prevents corrosion (in most pumps). the glycol in washer fluid is an adative to prevent people from drinking washer fluid in lieu of beer/liquor... it tastes AWEFUL.

I found that NTB sells a GREAT winter mix... it just seems 'cleaner' then walmart washer fluid.
